These are all I use. I have tried miller and all the rest and these give me the best feel torch and filler all the way down to .035.

Yes I have 2% lanthanated strictly for AL. I use 2% thoriated for everything else.

that tungsten seems huge for the amps try a .o40 goob to 80 amps dc if i remember right. I always use the smallest tungsten i can to help pinpoint the arc.

Not to high jack the thread but you will love this. I own a automotive repair shop and just read the state of California says there is too much copper in brake dust contaminating rain water run off. They are pushing to mandate automakers implement filters on car wheels to capture brake dust. NO BS.

I have a can of CRC Brakleen right here from a 9 case shipment I just got at the shop. " WITH SKULL AND CROSS BONES Cannot be made non poisonous. Contains methanol,acetone,toluene,heptane,and co2. DON'T USE THIS STUFF PRIOR TO WELDING PLEASE.

I always cut off the contaminated part and resharpen. I have tungsten loss figured into total charges labeled as shop supplies on invoice. Its not much based on the job the shop supply charge is anywhere from 10 to 30 dollars. Have to figure tungsten,gas, filler,what ever is needed to prep weld area...

I use 2 percent lanth dark blue band on my dynasty on al. Sharpen normally and put a flat land on the end. Do a search Jody did a tungsten video a while back that was very informative.

Got a 200 2 years old bought new but no severe wierd noises. It makes a slight noise when plugged in and turned off but nothing severe.

I got out of welding school 2 years ago and bought a 200 dx for the pulse feature I do mainly light fabrication anytrhing from.030 to 1/4". After 2 years of real world I still haven't used the pulse feature yet. I could be dead wrong but I believe lack of pulse has taught me better heat control...

I did a engine case on a floor scrubber for a customer. Stainless brush run the torch around the area low amp to boil out crap. Grind brush and repeat. I bought my dynasty 200 2 years ago and pieced it together with the acc. I wanted. I have no regrets. It's for tig only so bought just machine and what I wanted for tig it is air cooled. Sometimes it gets a little too hot with aluminum but its not a big problem .

As critical as the measurments are as far as ring groove size I would recomend getting a new piston. The MONEY and time involved if it doesn't work ain't worth it.

2% lanth dark blue You don't need the ball with a dynasty. Do a search jody has a vid comparing tungsten. I only use the 2% lanth on my dynasty on al and never a problem. Tried the red it splits and spits. Sharpen it like you would for steel and put a land (flat spot) on the end and let it eat.
