Re: Who uses a Kemppi Master TIG?
I learned bretty much welding whit Tig machine like that. When you learn it you can adjust most of the other brands too. Dont remember where to adjust balance or frequrence but i recall that there was settings that you need push Amp button to get more settings to adjust? but it on ac. and when that ...

This ones what can be weld that bench i weld them on 10-12.clok and it worked on me 75-80Amps and dipping wire every time when that budl...

Re: Stainless butt/beweled joint
Okey that gap is one choice. But but when you think that pipe is 400mm and 300mm radius and total about 63 or more joints making it one pass would be huge time saiver its about range 1.4m weld by joint and 2.8m in two passes x63... What would you think about this, knife edge 60-70° bewel no gap or o...

Stainless butt/beweled joint
how you weld 1/8 (3.0mm) or 4.0mm thick ss pipe. im gona be welding proses piping 400mm x 3.0mm to 4.0mm thick. And i think i will bewel them litle but no gap. so i can get easier trough it whit out that gap and but it on one pass at least that 1/8 thick. There gona be some xrays taken of them 10% l...

Re: welding Al cast flanges
By the looks of the texture and the sharp details I would assume it is a gravity die cast (kokill, if you know the Swedish word for it ;) ) A very common Aluminum quality for that method is AlSi10Mg which is recomended to weld with 4043 as far as I can find. Thanks for info. Yes some other parts re...

Re: welding Al cast flanges
There is gap between to parts welded. Service time i ment that contamination shortens that weld lasting eaven longer. That cast has somekind of coating? The pic doesent show thoos (peppers) and if that coatin could not grind it shows much better.

Re: Stainless cap
Today I was welding a 60 mm 1.6 thick stainless pipe which I don't have much experience with the fitting was a bit misshaped so the alignment wasn't great however I got my root through fusing both edges but once I capped the pipe it looked like I had some secondary penetration was wondering why thi...

Excellent work, Aleksi! You appear to be rebuilding the front jacket, at the 5th wheel plate, and the front head is next? What service is the trailer? (LIN, LOX, LAR, CO2? LHY?) I had never seen one before. My curent job is welding new and repairing old oil/chemical containers. And often time old craks are full of all kind of contamination. And there this blade is useful because it leaves that AL surface so shiny so i can spot every litle hole/porosity. But you are right ab...

Re: Everlast MTS200 short circuit setup help
If you are welding at your job too why dont take some thicker scarp plate and start adjusting there. then you can keep you arc on and tweek it there and not worry burn trought. So get better practise material and not that rusty tube. Every that size machine will short sircuit for sure

I think it was very good video. Because jody showed that lack of fusion at beginning on aluminium weld. I have done the same mistake when you feed that rod too soon. Many can weld some kind of weld on AL, but making sound long lasting weld not to crak in years in use is bit harder. Im no expert on A...
