Steve, Thank you, I was lurking the net as well and not much info to be found. So I guess best would be 309 as I do not heat tread the 4130 tube, no need for that as it is strong enough as bought, Airframe tube. Will however do sole test runs on my rotary to make sure its all okay. If you do find ex...

Mick, thank you for the 309 info. Steve, You guessed right, it is part of a pressure member. For sake of argument I will call it a pressure tank. The 4130 will go on the outside of a all stainless thin walled, assembled and welded pressure tank, end-cap will protrude from the 4130 tube for 7mm. The ...

Welding 4130 to 316

Good day,

Would appreciate the help in finding the right filler to weld 4130 to 316.

4130 Tube is 2mm, 316 plug is a 2mm walled cap.
