Pics of revised line burner added another gear box and its going to work well . I took it to work today and used it with the hypertherm 65 the cuts are amazing did some 90deg cut and some bevels on 1/2" plate all the pics are from last night with the Avortec xc100

I would love to see some of your work very interested in the process of welding on a firearm . Welding crosses so many professions it would be hard to cover them all . I think the guys here are sharp so throw your stuff out there I'm sure they can help and i will keep watching for you're posts.

When I do floor boards or something like that I will clean the best I can with out thinning the metal to much .then when I weld the seams I weld with spot welds,like pull the trigger for one second then move the gun to the edge of the spot pull the trigger one second then move .kinda stack the spots...

Forgive some of my welds had a little trouble with my balance very windy and turns out that I had a metal chip in my eye from the day before. They are effective for that I was doing (dust tight).

Ok here's one that I biult in place made from 3/16" ar235 all of the welding was done with 6011 and the Lincoln eagle on the truck .My cut man was on the ball .

I had to raise a valve off of our grain cleaner to get more fall on a spout ,mocked up what I wanted and tried to build as much as i could on the back of the service truck . Everything is harder 100' in the air. I keep playing with 6010 for this kind of work but alway seem to end up back at 7014 .it...

I got one welders with brown eyes don't get welders flash I have brown eyes and have never gotten it and every body that I've know to get welders flash has had blue eyes , not that I know a lot of full time welders

Found a nice 8" bench grinder at our local farm sale 42$ so it needed a stand . A bench grinder needs to stay put and to be Easy to sweep around so here it is before paint

Ok thanks Steve I think I might of made it 8 minutes between sparpenings today , doing a little better. I was wondering how long they lasted for you guys . I turned down the amps today and tightened up the arc and that helped a lot after a bunch of practice runs I even welding up a pin hole in heate...

Rod and wire storage
That do u guys think about using a old fridge for storing rod filler and wire if I put a 100 watt bulb inside and leave it on or have any better ideas .Its got to be better than a shelf in the shop I'm in Michigan and the humidy gets pretty high from time to time
