Will be welding 1/4" carbon steel round stock mesh strainer basket for weld test, round stock to round stock, long taper the end for small arc and puddle, should i blunt the end or leave to a point? Advice guys! THANK YOU!

For welding thin guage sheet metal all the way up to 1/8" mild steel has anyone used the stubby kit which mainly helps with clearance issues, any difference then conventional set up on actual welding? Gas lense kits any comparisons there?

Is there any advantage to useing a gas lens & cup over traditiomal set up for sheet metal?
