Just wondering if you could provide some video instruction on Tig Welding aluminum with a DC machine? I've seen a couple on youtube but would love to see some video from Jody on this.
Thanks, Bill

Re: Where to find just a torch handle/welding tip
Well, followed some links, did some shopping. Seems as though there are many kits compared to just buying a handle and a couple tips. I did get some ordered and hopefully they will work well. I had an older Purox setup and other than taking a shot of fleabay my LWS was wanting near $60 for a replace...

Where to find just a torch handle/welding tip
Run into a wall getting reasonably priced torch tips for my O/A outfit. Thought I would upgrade to newer equip. I find kits all over the place but would like to just get a torch handle and a couple welding tips. My gauges and hose set up are just fine. Can anyone point me towards a web site that mig...

Re: Question on lead size replacement
Thanks WS for the info chart. Downloaded and saved for reference. I actually have a set of very heavy duty cables that were damaged when two of the clamps were driven over that I was going to scrape or repair. I will give them a hard look and see if they might work. I'm thinking they might just be a...

Re: Question on lead size replacement
Thank you very much for your reply, Steve. My shop is only 18 X 20 so I think I will give a shot at 15 foot leads of 2 AWG. I can move the machine out from the wall another 3-4 foot if needed from the outlet so that should cover most anything I need to work on. I don't want to under or over buy. I t...

Question on lead size replacement
My son and I drug out an old AC stick welder for me to show him how to use. Looking and the leads I guess 40-50 years of age tends to take it's toll on the insulation. The buzz box is a 250 amp Forney 220V unit. Still does what it was made to do. Any ideas as to what size leads I should buy to repla...

Re: Miller "Weldsettings" app free!
Thanks for the links WS! When it comes to some of this stuff I just give up and ask my 21 year old son for help. The harder I try to keep up the faster things seem to change!

Re: Miller "Weldsettings" app free!
If you have an Andriod phone you can go to the "Play" store and if you have a iphone you can go to itunes with your phone. Search for Weldsettings and you can then download/install the app.

Miller "Weldsettings" app free!
Didn't see this posted, sorry if this has been mentioned. At both the Play Store and iTunes you can download an app from Miller called Weldsettings. Once installed the first page has the option to pick from MIG (solid wire), MIG (Flux core), Stick and TiG. You pick one of these applications and then...

Another new guy from Michigan
Hey all, Been lurking and figured I better sign up and say hey! I really enjoy Jody's videos and have been having fun reading the chatter on the forum. Retired but doing a bit of welding on the side for bread and milk monies and to build up the shop funds. I have an older AC stick welder I really en...
