Re: Multipurpose Cut off saw (TCT Blade)

I have the dewalt multipurpose 14inch saw your talking about, I just last week had to get the blade sharpened it was about 30 bucks at my tool warehouse. The blades are expensive but the do last a while(I mostly cut 45 degree angles in 1/8th wall square tubing). I recently bought a second blade as a...

Re: Tungsten Electrodes for tig

I will try diamond ground and E3 by bearing to see the difference, thanks for the In depth advise about the diversity and strength of different brands. It just stinks that all these companies keep sending these products elsewhere to be manufactured. Not for nothing I would pay more for the USA label.

Welding jackets, what do you prefer?

What do you prefer, leather, cotton or hybrid(miller weld-x,indura or traditional fr). I use a cotton long sleeve shirt when I am mig or tig welding and leather when I'm stick welding.

Re: New plasma cutter

Wow, that's a lot of info, just wondering if I should move my air filters to the plasma cutter end rather than at the compressor end. To remove as much moisture as possible before entering the plasma cutter or leave it the way it is? Thanks again and keep it coming I'm considering all the options he...

Re: New plasma cutter

Thanks for all the info, yesterday I hooked up my plasma cutter from my compressor with a 3/8in 40 micron air filter( at the compressor end) and a inline desiccant dryer/filter (at the plasma cutter end). It ran great smooth cutting. Only have one question I still had some moisture getting through, ...

I have been looking into a cutting torch for a little while and went to airgas. I ve heard about the standard names Smith And Victor, but he told me about radnor. He told me that victor makes the radnor kits, does anyone know if there is any truth to this and are they as good

Thank you for the input ,I was looking at home depot the other day at casters I just don't know if these are decent or junk. Do you guys know where else I might be able to find quality casters( I live in new York ) besides the Internet? I will definitely be using a swiveling and locking caster for m...

thanks for the info, I have really no other steel supply dealer close to me so as long as I know that it is decent pricing I will use that supplier. I will look into the scrap yard or welding shop idea. Maybe I can find some in my area. Thanks again for all the input.

Re: new garage cabinet

Thank you for the reply, that is exactly what I needed to know. I am using a MIG welder(lincoln 180C W/75 -25 gas with .035 wire) but am still very new at the welding part and that is why I figured this would be great practice. One other question I do have though is I priced out 1 1/2x 1 1/2x 1/8th ...
