Re: Water Cooled Torch And Cold Weather ???

Dude, some people run tap water thru their torch and it works fine....some people love to complicate things and others just get it done. I happen to be the latter.

Re: I'm not a welder & I need some help....

Thanx for all your replies... It's $286 to get a new piston and my Dad has a machine shop in order to do any cutting that will be required to bring it back to tolerance. It doesn't need a lot of material replace and it is in a pretty non critical location...AND it was still running great "as i...

Re: Water Cooled Torch And Cold Weather ???

I have a detached garage that I warm when working in but otherwise stays the ambient temperature. What do you guys do to keep the water from freezing? Plain old automotive antifreeze works great for me. 50/50 mix should keep it protected down to 30 below zero farenheit. When was the last time you s...

I was in awe when I cut my first piece of steel with the plasma. Unfortunately my TIG skills need a lot of work but I'll get the...

Re: New guy here. I've been a lurker...

Thanks for the reply Steve. I'm waiting for the welding machine to get here so I can neaten up the hoses a little. It works great. I just have it recirculating the water right now but I can't see why this thing won't keep up with the heat produced even without a fan. In reading some of the other pos...

New guy here. I've been a lurker...

I'd just Like to introduce myself. My name is Marcel and I think I'll be spending a lot more time here....as this site is awesome. I especially like all the videos that Jody produces, they're very informative and just plain, no nonsense, practical stuff. I've been welding mig on and off since the mi...
