Re: I made a 3 part video about angle grinders

Nice work on your vids, UV. You hit the nail on the head when you nailed your head with that grinder. I was once wearing a loose t-shirt while using a wire wheel which of course, caught the flapping-in-the-wind shirt and tore to shreds not only my shirt, but my belly as well. All is good now and I l...

Re: Steel storage rack for garage

Hey brucepts, I really like your rack idea to help keep small quantities of varied material. Don't know why I didn't think of this before, very practical and perfect for the garage. Consider the idea stolen, mua-ha-ha!!

Re: Hey guys....coyldn't find this anywhere

That 30A/220v circuit is probably a standard 220v circut that is 15A/110v per leg and is most likely wired with 14 ga wire, certainly not heavy enough for cutting/welding and would likely melt the wire at max draw at 50A, remember that 110v welders/cutters reuire a 20A circut with 12 ga wire, so you...

Re: Lincoln Power Mig 140c or Lincoln ProMig 180

I own a 180c, purchased at the local welding store. Differences include cast aluminum drive as opposed to plastic drive train. Decide whether you need your machine to last a long time or a short time, these parts are expensive. The 180c also has the "diamond " start feature which ensure ea...

Re: Alum Welding

Only thing missing from delraydella's soot eliminating list is regarding the Argon flow rate and MIG gun technique, sooty welds tends to point to improper shielding from the gas. Don't forget the porosity and weak weld stregnth from insufficient shielding as well. Soot in Alu welding tends to come f...
