Diversion 165 - tungsten quesiton
I'm flattening the tungsen on the grinder when welding aluminum, but it's not "balling" when I weld. I assumed that the tungsten would kind of automatically ball up after a second of welding. Instead it get's a bit nasty looking and wondering if something's not right?

Tungstens
Just read that the red ones are radioactive. How dangerous are they?
Also, which colors should I ask for if I don't want to use the radioactive ones?
Thanks for any insight.

TIG grounding concept for small parts. What do you think?
Have been thinking about this for a little bit. Kind of a pain to ground a vise grip to small parts for TIG welding. Often times the clamp and cable is heavier than the part and wants to move around, even fall off the table. Also, the ground clamp is often in the way when welding small parts. What d...

Oxygen and Acetylene basic questions
I'd like to learn how to safely use this setup for cutting metal. How unsafe is it to bring these cylinders into a home garage? What are the pros & cons to buying one of these setups for a hobbyist?

grinding scale off metal table top
I just ground down my metal table top (took 2 hours and sucked bigtime), so the scale wouldn't interfere with the ground if I wanted to ground directly to the table. The table top with the scale was perfectly flat and now is not, due to not keeping the grinding wheel even the entire time. Meaning it...
