Everlast 250EX vs 210EXT
Ive had some issues with my 250EX and had to send it back in for repair, I was without my machine for 8 wks finally got it back on Monday the 8th of Oct. Started using the unit and 15 minutes into its use it quit only HF was there. Called tech and did some diagnostics and they came to the conclusion...

Ive played around with different tugstens and have found that the 2% lanthinatied works best for me.

Well I got my 250EX today, so far so good. I got it all wired up and did some sample aluminum welding very smooth so far. Well, I opted for the 250-EX Hopefully I will have it in a couple of weeks. LOL I guess I really need to not break anything on the dragster until the new machine arrives !!

Well, After speaking with Everlast tech support was decided to send the machine back in for exchange. Eeverlast sent a call tag and all needed paper work to ship the unit back Smooth at this point. I reset the gap on the HF points they were misaligned and around .050 wide. The arc is better but still by no means stable and hard to start. The higher the amps the smoother the arc is but at lower amps still getting lots of sputters. I will call Everlast tomorrow and see what the next step is. Mik...

I dont think it is the gas, as I have used the same bottle on the miller 180 SD, It could be the ground, I welded together a pair of intercoolers today and it did much better but still having some issues. Just purchased a Everlast Powertig 225-LX. Im having alot of trouble with the arc starting consist and at times not at all.
