Re: Best way to rebore sprocket

Thanks for your suggestions. I've decided to try to find the correct sprocket.

As for the jokes, my id "ironchef" is a combination of a welding and a culinary degree.
I'm also known as ironchef de biciclet to include my cycling hobby.

Best way to rebore sprocket

I made a mistake and got the wrong size sprocket for an electric bike I'm making. The sprocket is a double D but I need a single D. It is also a slightly larger bore. I was thinking I could fill the bore with TIG then bore it to the correct size and then fill it again with TIG and file down to fit t...

Re: Using a TIG to solder

Would this work on a AC evaporator? What are the pitfalls? Would it work better if the tungsten was balled at the end so the has is bigger?

Need help on connector purchase

I need to buy either a 14 or 5 pin connector for a Miller pedal. I have the Amphenol number and found one resource that I promptly lost. It cost around $15.
Any suggestions would be a big help.

14 vs 5 pin connector

My foot petal has a 5 pin connector and my tig has a 14 pin connector. Where do I buy a 5 pin female to go on the tig? What is a reasonable price for this?

By the way you should have seen the guys that did two one inch plates! The looked like they were run hard and p...

Re: Cert test tomarrow...HELP

Sad to say I did not past the certification test. I thank everyone for their input. I'll be doing a retest next Tuesday. I'm considering going to the 1g flat position just to get certified. My original plan was to be certified in TIG but I and others in my certification class at Wake Tech CC in Rale...

Thanks Steve I'll try that. Hope I made it clear that the root pass is not tying in two sides of the groove and the backing bar.
