I have a piece of 4130 that will be pressed inside a piece of 4140 and i want to weld them together, what filler sould i use and what gas should I use (mix or pure argon)? Also what would be the proper heat treat process? These pieces are over an Inch thick and I am assuming a preheat of 400 degrees...
