Thanks for info. I will try to fill hole. I'm welding 1 and a half steel in vertical but weld (PF over here). IIts for X-ray inspection. It happens when I end the bead.

I am ending bead by swirling , or moving to side or moving back a small bit. This was working fine but now getting hole with what lookes like 3 or 4 rings around it.

We have checked the gass and downslope, any ideas how to solve this?

Hi, I'm looking for advice of how to end tig welding bead on steel. At the moment I'm moving to side edge of bead quite fast and waiting for down slope and gass covaridge. Is this the best practices? Blake

PC is horizontal but weld over here.
I am making one pass. Will try higher amps and see how it goes. Cheers

Hello, I am welder from UK making weld tests in Finland. I am welding PC position of 2mm carbon steel. It's for x-ray test and completely stuck. I am ether getting not enough filler to back of weld or to high, edges curving in on bead. I am sliding cup along the joint and adding a lot of filler rod....
