coat rack from eye bolts

Wanted a strong coat rack, so decided to make one from eye bolts. Welds arent really good looking, due to my lack of practice and not perfect accessibility, but its painted and functional now. I actually like it so decided to post these pictures. https://www.upload.ee/image/13433331/21.jpg https://w...

z-style stool

Planning a simple project. Could use some knowledge about the strength of square tubing. dont know if anyone here have heard anything about a thing called millimeter, but my plan was to use 3mm wall thickness tubing(50x50) for the diagonal tube + one side of each square to which the diagonal tube is...

Re: THE carbide-tipped metal cutting blade thread

Do You know, what are these stock blades meant for, and what blade is suitable for cutting tubes?

Re: THE carbide-tipped metal cutting blade thread

I have been using an Evo Rage4 saw lately. It works fine, but the first blade lasted max 100cuts on hollow(1,5-2mm wall) tubing, before it gets too dull to use any more. Fortunatelly these small discs are quite cheap, so for non-comercial use, its not bad. Just need to keep a stock of these blades.

Hour meter for welder.

Not much of a welding project, but more of a welder project. I dont know, if better welders have these hour meters from factory, or if anyone even needs these, but I wanted one. I wanted a hour meter thet counts the time of actual welding, not the switched on(stand by) time of the welder. I made a s...

Tool cart for the garage.

Hi, Havent even started the project, but I thought I throw the idea here. Not much of a welding project, but something I could use. And even though one of these could probably be bought cheaper than the material cost of it, its still worth doing. It will be about 75cm high. Pretty much all the weldi...

Re: Extreme porosity in second pass

Its an old thread, but did You figured out what the issue was and found a solution? Im also a beginner and have the same issue now. The second pass I made on one of the welds on the last project, looked exactly like this. The gas flow should be OK. The tungsten stikout might be exessive, but not sur...
