While I figure out the wedge melt i am trying to remind myself which parts go with the ceramic furick gas lens. I think I have sorted these correctly am I right? The other thing I cannot remember is which insulator circled in purple corresponds to which setup.

Hi everyone I know I'm pushing my CK 17 torch by running short duty at 185 amps but I thought the Furick 3/32 lens/collet would be okay. The collet looks pretty distorted. Is this just to be expected as a "consumable" or did I do something wrong maybe with installation or with the amperage...

I know I am pushing my 17 CK torch a little bit by running 185amps (not full duty cycle). However I am surprised to see the 3/32 Collett look like it took so much abuse. Am I pushing it way too hard or are these just consumable?

Hmm maybe not looks like a quick connect on the gas. I would expect them to have an adapter that would accept the power pin, and have a quick connect gas fitting (Everlast uses 9mm size on all the machines I'm aware of). There is an adapter for a RH 5/8" gas fitting to work on a 9mm quick conn...

I think this is what I need. 1/2in dinse is what the Everlast has and 3/8in-24 is the connector on the 17 Torch line. Bummer it has such a long gas line, I only need 1-2'

Well I got my 17 torch and cable (right) and then realized I totally forgot to think about the welder connection (left, from 26 torch). What do you all recommend?

I considered the ew but didn’t want to pay for the motor twice so I’m giving the base model Tungstenmate a try. Will post my results. Even if its not gods gift I believe repeatability is where it will let me dial in the rest of my technique.

I'll try those settings thanks for the tip. I realized I may have gone a bit big on this cup, I don't really need massive stick out for my current project but somehow landed on this kit. I ordered a 8PRO cup from Furick which should let me run a little lower on the gas.

I am testing out the furick #10 glass cup and gas lens kit I got from Weldmonger. Using 20cfh and getting real nice welds. I do notice porosity tends to happen only at the beginning of a weld however. Never during or at the end. Would too much or too little pre flow cause this? I tried .1 and .2 sec...
