Open Cornice and Fillet Amperage

Hello friends, I have a question as to why the open cornice weld carries less amps than in the flat position and why in the fillet position it carries more amps, why does that happen?

Re: tig torch duty cycle

Thanks friends, but how much is the duty cycle I mean if it is 10 minutes is it a 100% cycle the same as the machine or is it 1 minute?

tig torch duty cycle

Hello people, I would like you to get me out of the doubt. How many minutes is a duty cycle for a tig torch (and if the time is the same for a mig torch) I have seen in tutorials that test it for 1 minute, is that so?

Amper Mig?

Hello everyone I have a question about the mig amperage, example, if the 0.045 (1.1mm) wire has 100 Amps marked on the digital board it is equal to the wire speed in ipm, (100amps = 100 ipm

Gas problem?

Hello everyone, I have a problem sometimes when starting the mag arc with C25 gas, I see that a yellow light comes out like it would be when I light a match, will it be too much gas? My flow meter does not measure well

Re: weld with 2 tig machines at the same time

What I wanted to know is if working with 2 machines so that it is better understood. For example, a tig machine and a mig mag welding on the same work table at the same time. Could it cause a problem for the machines when making dough on the same table?

weld with 2 tig machines at the same time

They can be welded with 2 tig machines at the same time, for example on a pipe. Does it affect the machines or the bow at all when making dough with both?

Re: The arc is cut with electrodo 6011

I have tried a very short bow without oscillation and short bow whip technique and the same thing happens, I defend myself a lot with stick, maybe it is the machine or maybe it is me, I will try another machine to see what happens.Thank you friends for taking the trouble to answer

Re: The arc is cut with electrodo 6011

The machine is a 250 amps inverter, three-phase Chinese FMT brand, electrode 6011, indura brand 3/32 to 75 to 80 amps in base plate 1/8 position F2, voltage in vacuum 60v

someone welded with dissimilar cast iron or steel 307L rod with this contribution? and if it is better than the 309L for that purpose?I forgot to translate, you excuse me. Thank you for your answer

Re: Who knows about Chromolly? 4130

I would use er 70s_2 or if it is well clean er70s_3 (not the er70s_6 which contains a lot of silicon and becomes brittle) and 80 celsius should work well or maybe 100 better, to avoid hardening in the heat affected zone. The 80s_d2 would make a stronger but brittle weld is my humble opinion.

Ni 99 electrode problem

Hello everyone, recently they brought me a piece of cast iron and I soldered it with a 3/32 Ni99 stick with a dc + inverter and it left me a very convex cord and lack of fusion. because it does not melt well despite having the amperage recommended maximum.
