Re: First post, considering another welder.

I ran 2 gage wire for my power mig 360 MP and a 100 amp breaker to accommodate the 83 amp rating on the name plate. I am told it was just a surge rating and that I could have gotten by with 6 gage wire given the duty cycle but I would rather play it safe than sorry. My machine is rated at 60 percent...

Re: HTP PP220 vs MM255

What % of the time would you say you use yours on short circuit vs spray? I ask because I could see me almost never running short circuit again. Funny you should ask. If I do use the MIG, at the moment it's all 100% short-circuit right now. This is only because I still have two tanks of C25 that I ...

Re: HTP PP220 vs MM255

I just got the Lincoln 360 MP and feel the same way about it that Oscar does his 300. I have not welded with an HTP 300 but can say based on what Oscar describes, my 360mp is definitely a similar feeling to weld with: next level. I am doing a lot of gas shielded flux core right now and it is just li...

Re: New Optrel headgear

Oscar, will do. Tried to type “isofit” headgear. Did not notice my typo. I ordered that with the crystal 2.0. Will let you know how it works. I think you are also trying that out? Curious what you think.

Re: New Optrel headgear

Just ordered the optrel crystal 2.0 with the PAPR and is of it headgear. They just realized the crystal 2.0 lens in th Panoramax but don’t have it as a PAPR yet. Can’t wait to weld with this and will post when I do. Should have it by next Friday.

Re: Lincoln Power Mig 350 / 360 MP Breaker Size

Thanks guys. I am slow on the uptake so please forgive: sounds like I can plan to hard wire or buy a very expensive plug. This said, should my breaker be a 90 amp rating. Curious how others with 350 to 360 rated machines that are hybrid transformer/inverter wired their circuits.

Re: Transformer based mig

I would seriously look at the Lincoln power mig 360 MP. It is rated at a duty cycle of 60% at 320 amps and 100 percent at 250 amps. In addition, it does pulsed mig and is an incredible aluminum welder with a push pull gun capability. It is a truly industrial machine meant to weld all day. It is what...

Lincoln Power Mig 350 / 360 MP Breaker Size

I am new to the forum and wanting to significantly upgrade my mig welding capabilities. I want a machine that I won't regret or outgrow. I have decided to get the Lincoln Power Mig 360 MP. I've had folks tell me this machine will run on a 50 amp 230 volt circuit but note that it is a hybrid inverter...
