I did not notice any but who knows. I should have a look inside the machine and replace some clamps. Put it on my to do li...

Re: Noob has a little trouble with 1" square tube, Rnd corne

Heh guys, I made it out to the shop even and though the winter head cold is lingering, managed a couple test on 2 , 1/8 plate, 6061 coupons. , previously used and cleaned with stainless brush and further cleaned using 99.9% isopropol alcohol. I started out at 140 amp ( pic 0012 ) setting on the 210e...

Re: Noob has a little trouble with 1" square tube, Rnd corne

Heh guys, Sorry about the disappear but had to move inside due to weather and gas shield issues. Once I opened the old shop area, I realized I had a mold build up, mice and their extended families living inside my walls, cabinets, etc. This took a lot of my time to clean up. This with working a farm...

Re: Noob has a little trouble with 1" square tube, Rnd corne

Hey guys, I have not been out to the welder due to tractor problems that seem to be coming all at once.
I have written down all your suggestions and will work through them and let you all know how it is going.
Have a great day.

Re: Noob has a little trouble with 1" square tube, Rnd corne

Hey guys, I will have a go later today after chores and work through the various suggestions you have put forward. I have had some success on flats with the present setup but the square tube is another matter. Tungsten tip shape and loss of argon due to curvature of the tube are something I had thou...

Re: Noob has a little trouble with 1" square tube, Rnd corne

HI Guys, Thanks for the quick reply.
I will have a look at the settings as described as soon as I can get back out, probably a day or so.
My welder usually reverts to same save but sometimes does not.

Noob has a little trouble with 1" square tube, Rnd corners,

Hi guys, I am new to tig welding, got my Everlast 210ext last 2 month or so. I initially started by testing on mild steel tube and switched to aluminum once I could run a bead and it looked fairly good. Now, after watching and now re-watching many of Yt welding vids, I have a stable arc on 6061 test...
