Re: Lincoln torch swap

Thanks for the reply. I messaged them and they replied with part #’s. I’m still curious if I could use the dinse connector off of my old torch. I’m about out of consumables for the 17 torch and I’m typically not welding at higher amps. I figured I could use the old dinse connector and save $80 or so...

Lincoln torch swap

I’ve got a Lincoln 200 square wave. I want to switch out the torch to a ck9. Does anyone know if I also need to get a different dinse connector? Or can I use the one off of the 17 torch it came with. I don’t have access to my machine for a couple days to get a better idea. I’d like to order a torch ...

Tig headlight bezel

I have a set of headlights that I finally found the lense to make it a complete set. I took them apart and it turns out that one of the bezels has been repaired with a couple of booger welds for the mounting screw. The headlight are from the 30’s and I have a feeling that the bezels are some type of...

Re: Remote amp control

My amps are normally between 70-100. All the stuff I’ve been working on I really haven’t had to go any higher then that so far. I have some thicker scrap aluminum I’ve been wanting to practice on, and I will probably turn it up. Thanks for the info on that controller, I was surprised to see it’s mad...

Remote amp control

I’ve got a Lincoln 200 square wave. The only torch I have is the one that came with it,and have switched over to gas lenses. I’m looking into trying out some different torches, and not sure which direction to go. I would really like to have one with a remote amp control. The torch I have is a #17 is...

Re: Colder weather tig

Thanks for all the info mark. I definitely did notice how strong the fan was in the machine when I first tried it out. I ended up having to set it on my mig welder for now. Hopefully this weekend I can get it working right again, if I have time this weekend I think I'm just going to get a better reg...

Re: Colder weather tig

Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling it had something to do with the gas. I can't really say how cold it was the other night. I was just wearing a thermal and a hoodie so it couldn't have been that bad but... I think I read somewhere that the regulator that comes with that machine isn't the greates...

Colder weather tig

Anyone have any issues with the colder weather tig welding? I'm a couple weeks into tig welding and had it down well enough to start building a cart. I ran into some issues with laying down the welds last night. It seemed like I couldn't get it to puddle very well and the tip on the tungsten would f...
