Really lol! I'm going to use that one.homeboy wrote:Actually I have quite a few projects with misc. holes and slots from reclaimed angle iron bed frames from the metal recycle pile at the landfill. If anyone asks what they're for just say -well isn't it obvious and change the subject.

Nice cart -lot of work but always worth it in the end. Had me going for a bit about why all the holes in the 1in tubes and then I went back and read your post and all was explained. :? ZT Fab style cart
Built a welding cart in the ZT Fab style with a 12 gauge sheet 2'x4', left over 18 gauge 1" square tubing from a store display, and various lengths of 2", 3", and 4" .125 flat bar. I wanted the cart to hold two or more welders and two tanks. I found a barely used Lincoln 210mp on...

Re: Downdraft Table !!!
I always grind and plasma cut outside to keep the dust and fumes out if the garage. Problem is it sucks in the winter so i decided to try and build a downdraft table. I had most of the metal needed except for the .080" aluminum for the sides and some small angle......that i got from work. I us...

Another portable bandsaw stand
I finished this little stand a couple weeks ago. Prior to this stand I was simply clamping it down to a HF portable workmate knockoff. The stand worked ok until I figured out I might end up accidentally dropping the saw someday. I looked at all or most of the other designs available commercially and...

Re: Knock-off of Jody's downdraft table
How much downdraft do you get? I don't know how to measure the actual pull at the top of the table. I did do what Jody did in his Youtube video with lighting a paper towel placed at the top of the table. To my delight, all the smoke and fumes were pulled down but as the paper burned and drifted dow...

Thanks! If I could change one thing, I would use thicker wall tubing or angle iron for the top frame.

Knock-off of Jody's downdraft table
I recently finished a version of Jody's downdraft table design. Works great for plasma cutting and even capturing flux-cored welding smoke. I don't have a fume extractor so I used Jody's suggestion with a cheap fan and duct from HF. I'm learning how to weld so my joints look like "Fido's you kn...

Hi All!
So grateful for Jody's Youtube channel, I figured joining this forum makes sense. I'm just learning how to weld in my spare time. I just finished building Jody's downdraft table. For better or worse, most of my personal metal projects start with using whatever scrap metal I have on hand. Nice to &qu...
