Re: ChuckE2009 , what happened to this channel???

I, too, was a subscriber and agree with some of the comments here: some of the armchair critics of either his welding or his product reviews were quite rude. "I'd never use XYZ brand because ..." "That's just cr@ppy..." etc etc. Not helpful at all. It's a pity really, since a new...

Re: why shop at welding supply vs bunnings?

WOW

Can't believe the incredible gap between prices of gas.

I'm only learning at the moment so it will probably be a while before I need gas since I only have stick and flux core machines.

Re: why shop at welding supply vs bunnings?

Currently 45C at the moment, approx 5 hours north of Adelaide.

Since it's not just 'down the road' I tend not to go visiting Adelaide much hence look forward to checking out the recommendations you guys have already posted.

My thanks.

Yeah, where I live postage is always a killer, Mike, but it's the price I pay for peace and quiet

Re: why shop at welding supply vs bunnings?

I know this is an old thread (sorry for reanimating it) but for my fellow Aussies out there, who are your on-line go to people for welding supplies. I live in rural SA and am 6 hours from my nearest bunnies store so don't get there very often. My local Home Hardware/Mitre10 stocks very little. Inter...

G'day from Australia

G'day everybody. I'm Doc from Australia :geek:

I'm a wooden toymaker who wants to learn some basic welding (stick and flux core) so I can make various jobs on my property easier for me to do.

I look forward to 'meeting' everybody and a big thank you in anticipation.

Regards

Doc
