I would be interested in hearing (well, reading) how well this setup works, and if there has been any longevity issues in doing this. A time or two I've been "tacking" something real quick with bare hands only to be lit up by a metal screw in the handle of my rod holder, or the trigger of my old wire feed......& yeah, damp tig welding gloves.

I found someone on ebay that sold Ti rod by the stick. I'd imagine that an exhaust tip wouldn't take much. I just had to weld a broken tab on my Yoshi pipe, so I just bought two sticks from him & it worked great. I can't remember exactly how much it cost me, but I'm a cheap bastard, so it couldn...
