Re: Which flap discs?
Where the heck can you get cheap flap disks? I saw my old boss buy ten boxes (10 per box) of them at one time because he got them for $5 a box. Not sure how he came across that deal but I'd sure like to find a deal like that myself. I just paid $8 for one 40 grit disk at home depot a couple of days...

Welcome, I'm new myself.
It sure sounds like you have lived a lot for only being in your mid 20's. Kudos for taking care of your grandfather, we all should be so lucky!!!

Re: Hi Y'all
Welcome to the forum, I'm new myself. I see you have a new Evolution Rage 3 saw. I have been thinking about one of those. I've never owned an abrasive cut off saw but I do have a TurnPro 7x12 horizontal band saw. I like it, but sometimes want something faster with no coolant and not having to suppor...

Re: Beginner
No, it's correct. I have a very similar machine, the Hobart Handler 210 MVP. It draws 20 A. on 120 V and 24 A. on 230/240 V. I have a dedicated 50 A. 240 V outlet that I wired for my stick welder so I just use that. I only tried it on 120 V once just for the heck of it and wasn't thrilled with the r...

Belt Grinder Stand
This was my first project which I finished a few weeks ago. I managed to make something useful out of forty feet of angle iron that I purchased several months ago. That's a Beaumont Metal Works KMG grinder (made right here in central OH). I thought the welding aspect went pretty well, but I found ou...

Welder Wannabe
Obviously new to this forum. Here's my story. I've had a welder for 35 years and only used it several times, poorly at that! That's something I want to improve on because I like amateur gunsmithing and it sure would come in handy on a lot of projects. I bought a MIG welder about a year ago and have ...
