Re: For you machinists...

I had no doubt some of you were familiar, but we have some newer entrants to machining with new (or new-to-you) equipment looking for projects and knowledge, so I had to share this guy. Also, horology interests me. Steve S does that include "space time"? "Gravity as Curved Spacetime....

Photos added to show what I am talking about. I can't figure out to rotate the photo via my phone web browser but you get the idea.

Lincoln Miniflex Clips

I recently got a used lincoln miniflex fume extractor for the shop. Unfortunately, the previous owner had broken the two clips on the side of the machine that secure the central filter. I asked lincoln for a part number n price for those clips and they quoted me $100 each plus a couple month wait (l...

I re-read the article and you are absolutely correct. The article was very clear. I guess I need to read better. Thank you.

Re: Invertig 155s , good deal?

Has Lincoln fixed their 110v/220v switching problem? I used the v160s and I kept it on 220v.

Re: FCAW-S Strength

Thank you Poland. I appreciate the article. As mentioned in the article, FCAW-S has a more globular weld deposit profile (if it can even be said that way) and FCAW-G has a more spray profile. This is my confusion -- are they saying that FCAW-G is a type a spray transfer or just 'spray like'? I initi...

FCAW-S Strength

I know this is a really stupid question <ducking for cover>. I'm happy for someone to say 'google XXX' or 'search XXX'. I really did try to search google and search this forum. So here goes -- does FCAW-G give more penetration/strength than FCAW-S? AKA, if I had the same equipment and ability to gas...

I am not new to the forum (been reading for a while) but I have now decided to create a profile. I am, at best, a beginner at welding and by no means good. I would like to thank Jody for his videos and all the folks on this forum for donating their knowledge to people like me who have not had the op...
