Re: Lotos plazma cutter?
I realize the time of this thread, however I wanted to give my input on this unit. I needed a plasma cutter basically for working with gauge metal when I needed to make circle or cuts with twists and turns and warping is a concern. The Lotos Plasma cutter works for me as a starter because shelling o...

Re: Looking for a respirator.
Just mild steel that has its mill-scale ground off---no galvanizing or coating like that . I'm not a safety freak at all, but those fumes really cause a nagging cough. Anyway I found a low profile Miller respirator for $28.00 I ordered from eBay and other welders who reviewed it say they like it be...

Re: Welding on Black Steel
Thanks for the input,
After the "yes", "no's" even outside of this forum. I'm going to play it safe and fix it with U-Bolts.
For the next roasters I'll make manifolds and thread it for the all the brass fittings.

Welding on Black Steel
Evening, The reason I'm trying to weld on black steel is to fix a propane burner on to a Green Chile roaster. My plan is to cradle it on a piece of angle iron and weld in place on the tee's because that would be the only point of contact and also weld a piece of tube around the orifice so that air c...

Re: Basic small weldingtable..
I would have never thought of adding bolts to help leveling the table. I'll keep that in mind when I upgrade to a weld / cutting table.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The door took me about 3 weeks, doing it outside of my classes and it was my first time bending the square tubing. Also I was bending it with a vise, small pulley and a 25lb weight. When I find time I want to make a hand crank tube roller.

Does anyone know why the Power MIG 210 MP is not rated for 6010 because I've been trying to figure why. I would think if it is DC it should run it ok.Poland308 wrote:Side note I had trouble running 6010 rods with the 210 mp but have tried several other kinds with out problems.

I've recently joined the forum, I see how people here are so helpful with one another. I am a student and here is some of my work outside of class trying to improve my fabrication skills.
By the way I don't know why and how the pictures are sideways.

Re: Rookie looking for a new welder!
I would consider the Power MIG 210 MP I've have it for three months or so. Haven't ran TIG yet I still need gas and regulator being that I just bought a torch.
